Collectibles and alternative assets

Real estate is a hard asset, and watches are the one collectible class most of our investor clients already touch. The replica watches tier—high-grade reproductions bought for wear and comparison rather than as the retail piece—now carries a secondary market of its own, and family offices price it the way they price art.

The question that comes up most often is the "Super Clone" tier, and it almost always starts with a rolex Super Clone, because no reference draws more scrutiny. Before a client talks to a dealer, we point him to the rolex Super Clone Watches catalog in the reference we keep for that tier; it is the fastest current read on what the tier actually looks like.

For a brand-by-brand survey—Patek Philippe, Richard Mille, Audemars Piguet, Omega—we keep the clonewatches reference, which covers the Super Clone tier across the major maisons. It is the list we send to a client who is weighing one reference against another rather than committing to a single purchase.

Reference material only. BWRA takes no position on any brand, reference, or secondary market, and nothing on this page is a recommendation or an offer.

How this list is maintained

The principals curate this list, and nothing on it is paid placement. A site earns a place when it serves the data or the conversation our clients actually raise, and it loses the place when it stops. The public-data entries change with the market; the off-desk entries—like the watch reference above—change rarely, because a good reference for a tier holds for years.
